DEEPSIGN AI UNVEILS SPRING 2025 DEMO ROADSHOW
February 16, 2025
WILMINGTON, DE – DeepSign AI, an emerging player in the fast-growing Sign Language Recognition (SLR) space, has announced the first half of its 2025 DeepSign Demo Roadshow.
This spring, the company will showcase its AI- and Machine Learning- powered ASL-English translation stack’s current potential with live, hands-on tech demonstrations.
This year’s roadshow follows DeepSign’s inaugural demo event (December 7-9, 2024) in Seattle, WA. The debut showcased four demo stations with smart home-themed translation features to over 80 Deaf Community members and tech professionals.
“We're excited to continue touring the U.S., and also provide live demos to DeepSign’s all-deaf, regionally diverse advisory board,” said Tim Blonsky, DeepSign Community Relationship Manager. “By returning to some cities where we've previously hosted data collection events, this is also a show of appreciation for the work that the Deaf Community has done to develop technology that’s for deaf people, by deaf people.”
All roadshow events include food, live demos, and Q&As with DeepSign’s team. Members of the public are invited to register below for the following events:
2025 DEMO ROADSHOW · SCHEDULE
RIVERSIDE, CA · Feb 28 & March 1, 2025
DeepSign kicks off its roadshow in Riverside at Deaf Night Out (Feb. 28) followed by a sponsored demo event (Mar. 1) in partnership with InnoCaption, an FCC-certified provider of real-time phone call captioning for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Based in Irvine, CA, InnoCaption offers users the flexibility to choose between AI- generated or Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) captioning.
BOISE, ID · March 29 - 30, 2025
DeepSign will offer a weekend of live demos for Idaho’s Deaf Community, in partnership with the Idaho Association of the Deaf. (Fun fact: Boise is where DeepSign hosted its FIRST data collection event!)
AUSTIN, TX · Dates TBD (late April or May 2025)
In Texas, DeepSign will showcase a mid-year capstone of its SLR capabilities. As a hub of Deaf entrepreneurship and home to a fifth of Texas’ deaf population, Austin is a prime city to experience AI-powered ASL translation. A separate data collection event will also be held in Austin.
DEEPSIGN MAKING INROADS IN SLR
The SLR field continues to gain mainstream traction as part of innovations in AI, computer vision, deep learning, and natural language processing.
DeepSign’s proprietary data collection events will also resume in several cities this year. The data is geared towards training its model with regionally accurate signs.
Roadshow events in Boise, Riverside, and Austin are available in-person only. Events are free to attendees, but space is limited. Please register for a demo or to become a (paid) data collection participant.
