DEEPSIGN AI APPOINTS TWO CO-CEOS
February 1, 2025
WILMINGTON, DE – DeepSign AI, a startup dedicated to AI/ML- powered ASL translation technology, is proud to announce a new leadership chapter. Effective immediately, Timothy Blonsky and Aimee Chou will serve as Co-Chief Executive Officers, ushering in the next growth phase.
Blonsky and Chou previously served as Director of Community Relations and Events Producer, respectively. During DeepSign’s inaugural year, they played pivotal roles including coordinating data collection events (critical to training AI models) across four U.S. cities, launching DeepSign’s first tech demo in Seattle, and charting a multi- city demo roadmap to expand the company’s reach in 2025.
“At DeepSign AI, we are driven by a singular goal: increasing accessibility for Deaf people. It’s embedded in every aspect of our work,” said Blonsky. “Every team member brings unique expertise and perspectives, coming together with a shared vision. I am honored to co- lead with Aimee and work alongside a talented, passionate team.”
Blonsky brings extensive experience as a disability advocate, workforce development expert, and leader in multiple organizations dedicated to accessibility and inclusion. Chou offers expertise in theatre, non-profit administration, and piloting programs for underrepresented voices. As Deaf leaders in their own spaces, both share a commitment to ensuring DeepSign's technology remains rooted in Deaf Community values.
DeepSign AI’s rapid development would not have been possible without its European engineering team, whose expertise in AI/ML, linguistics, and computer vision played a critical role: “We witnessed firsthand the major leap in performance between early engineering prototypes and our tech demo just eight months later,” added Chou.
“That progress is possible because of the Deaf Community’s input, our team, and strategic collaborations. I’m excited to launch the next growth phase with a fearless co-leader.”
